Tree Planting Event In Leeds
To promote ecological awareness in society, a tree planting event was organised in Leeds. Children ranging in age from 5 to 14 years old planted trees for the first time in their lives. Parents, too, seemed to be interested in the information given by LCC Woodlands Officer Glenn Gorner. Participants seemed tired at the end of the day, but much more alerted against the possible dangers which forests might confront in the world. This activity gave them hands-on experience in planting trees.
