Revd Clive Sedgewick talked on education as an instrument for social cohesion on 24 March, Wednesday.

Revd Sedgewick started with a definition of social cohesion. He proposed that social cohesion is about providing all with the possibility to participate in social and economic development of a country.

He maintained that education is one of the key instruments of community cohesion. This gained more attention especially after 9/11 and 7/7, adding that community cohesion provides an environment for students of different socioeconomic background as well as different gender and ethnicities to come together and live. .
