Teaching Global Citizenship in Leeds

Thu, 19 Nov 2009 13:00 in Outreach & Participation

One of our Project Managers, Ismail Sezgin(PhD Candidate), presented a paper about "Global citizenship in Higher Education" in a seminar at Leeds Metropolitan University. In his speech he portrayed an alternative approach for the concept of "Global Citizenship". In this seminar questions such as; "Is higher education in the 21st Century about developing global citizens? What difference will that make to employability? How can we teach global citizenship?" were discussed by the speakers.

This event will be followed by another seminar, with the same topic by other speakers such as; Prof Revd Simon Robinson, David Killick.
