Celebration of St George's Day

Where: St. Peter's Church, Edmonton, London

The Dialogue Society was invited to join in the celebrations of the Patron Saint of England, St. George with St Peters's Church members. The congregation was addressed by Father Brian who welcomed the Dialogue Society and highlighted that St George was born in Cappadocia (now Eastern Turkey) in the year A.D. 270. He related St George's perseverance and strength of faith in the face of adversity and disbelief and how he became known as the patron saint of England. The programme concluded with music, lunch and discussion among participants.
