London Community Co-ordinators

London

In an attempt to extend its work wider and deeper into communities, the Dialogue Society is appointing a series of London Community Coordinators.

A London Community Co-ordinator is someone who volunteers for the Dialogue Society within a given borough with the following objectives:-

  • Localise the Dialogue Society's work at the community level
  • Support and contribute to ongoing local community and stakeholder services, projects and initiatives

London Community Co-ordinators will achieve this by:-
  • Being based in the particular London borough they seek to support
  • Seeking to understand local communities and stakeholders and the current services and structures in place
  • Looking to support ongoing local services and structures, rather than attempting to replace or offer alternatives
  • Mobilising support by creating awareness and interest in ongoing projects and initiatives and encouraging attendance and active participation
  • Partnering local communities, groups and stakeholders in projects and initiatives
  • Connecting various communities within a given borough
  • Facilitating the interaction between communities and stakeholders
