Dialogue Society policy-related papers are geared towards national and local government. Each paper suggests a new idea or approach on a given policy-area while providing clear and specific recommendations towards its implementation. Recommendations are built upon experience at the community level. In January 2009, the Dialogue Society published a policy paper entitled "Deradicalisation by Default: The 'Dialogue' Approach to Rooting out Violent Extremism." It aimed to stimulate thinking about alternative approaches to preventing violent extremism and was received with great interest by policy-makers, parliamentarians and leading academics.
