    Senior Lecturer in Criminology & Criminal Justice, University of Salford

    Muzammil is presently Senior Lecturer in Criminology & Criminal Justice at the University of Salford. His research involves a criminological evaluation of Muslim populations within comparative perspectives inspired by Critical Race Theory and Radical Criminology. He is the author of a number of texts on Muslim populations, crime and the role of religion in the social sciences. His most recent project, funded by the Islamic Foundation, evaluated the experiences of Muslim ex-offenders and discrimination in the UK.
