    Having started her media career as a local radio rookie, Julia became involved in foreign affairs reporting after the fall of the Berlin wall. She made her first radio documentary in Poland in 1990 then joined the BBC World Service in 1992. She was nominated for the ’Best Radio Story of the Year’ by the Foreign Press Association for Crossing Continents: Turkey, which she produced in 2007. Julia is a freelance Radio and TV journalist with a passion for social affairs and personal stories.
