    Chief Superintendent Matthew Greening has been a police officer in Hampshire since 1982 when he came to this area from the north of England. During his career He has worked in Southampton many times and at almost every rank. He first worked here in the late 1980s when he was a patrol constable at Portswood. He is very proud to have his current job and to be able to make a contribution to the City. He is a firm believer in policing being a service and one which it is being delivered best when it is being done it with courage, confidence and humility. He wants his service to show people in the City that Police care about what matters to them and that they are paying attention to what people need.
