Abstract

The Dialogue Society is pleased to host the Cllr Emma Daniel for Brighton&Hove at its premises on the 3rd of March at 11am. The purpose of the meeting is to strengthen connections between the politicians and local people such as Brighton&Hove residents, students and businesses operating in the city. The meeting will enable participants to air any concerns or views they have about, local governments, local and national policies which affects them. All are welcome – All concerns are important.

Biography of Emma Daniel

Emma Daniel is a Labour councillor in Hanover and Elm Grove ward. She currently chairs the new Neighbourhoods, Communities and Equalities Committee and co-chairs the Equip partnership. She also works in a local school for deaf children and is learning British Sign Language.

Emma’s working career has been almost entirely in the voluntary sector following reading law in Birmingham. She has been on the board of trustees for organisations, twice a Chief Executive and more recently worked in general voluntary sector policy and digital democracy. She continues to deliver training for councillors about becoming a digitally enabled modern councillor.
