Dialogue Society organises annual dialogue dinners and meetings with people from a wide variety of ethnic and religious traditions. In this sense, Ramadan presents a great opportunity to strengthen relationships within and outside a particular community by fasting and breaking the fast.
Dialogue Society will gather people from all walks of life of varied communities and faith groups together in this Iftar dinner to emphasise on values such as mutual understanding, deep respect, love, and peace to reinforce the friendship, and dialogue between communities.
The evening will begin with a short welcome speech by Cllr Paul Frankum, which will then be followed by a presentation of Dialogue Society. When it is time to break the fast, guests will listen to the Ezan (call to prayer) and will be served a traditional Iftar dinner. The event will end with the comments from the guests and the closing speech.
