The Right Honourable Lord Mayor of Bristol, Peter Main, will be talking through his journey in life and the challenges he has overcome, as well as giving a few hints about how to be successful. There will be a Q&A session. Also refreshments will be provided.
Lord Mayor of Bristol, Councillor Peter Main was born on 29 April 1950, Kent (in what is now South East London). He is a retired Local Government Officer at Bath and North East Somerset Council. In the City Council of Bristol, he was first elected in May 1997 as a Brislington West Ward Councillor. He previously served on the Licensing Policy Review Board (Chair) and on committees on, Public Rights of Way, Housing, Social Services, Community Cohesion and, Health and Social Care. His membership of outside bodies includes: Trustee of Arnos Vale Cemetery Trust, Governor of West Town Lane Academy, Governor of Brislington Enterprise College and member of Brislington Community Partnership. He likes travelling, dining out (particularly trying new foods and new places), chocolate, and 1970s popular music (especially the music of ABBA).
