The Dialogue Society took part in this years IslamExpo event which took place between 11-14 July 2008, at the Olympia. The Dialogue Society exhibit included books, leaflets and multimedia material. It is estimated that 30,000 –predominantly Muslim– attendees visited the exhibition over the four days. Most visitors who approached the Dialogue Society exhibit appeared to have, at the very least, heard of the Charity before. The occasion provided volunteers of the Dialogue Society with a good opportunity of interacting with a wide cross-section of Muslim visitors. A newly appointed BBC religious affairs correspondent expressed pleasant surprise at seeing the exhibit and explained how he had heard of the Charity through a colleague who had recently attended the Journalists Trip to Turkey organised by the Dialogue Society in May of this year.
