As part of the Interfaith Week, The Dialogue Society organised a panel discussion in partnership with the New Scotland Yard with the attendance of community, faith and stakeholder representatives. The event's theme was “Freedom of Religion or belief in the context of countering violent extremism and hate crime”
In the Muslim prophetic tradition, the day Moses (peace be upon him) and his community were saved from the Pharaoh's army, and the day Noah's (peace be upon him) ark was saved from the flood is marked with fasting, and in modern times with the sharing of a special dessert known as Noah's Pudding.
Traditionally at this time of every year, thousands of bowls of Noah’s pudding are shared by the families of Dialogue Society volunteers with stakeholders, their neighbours and with members of various faith-based organisations in London and across the UK. Over the past fifteen years, we at the Dialogue Society have facilitated the distribution of approximately 20,000 individual bowls of Noah's Pudding each year in the UK, by encouraging and enabling ordinary people to share their puddings amongst neighbours, students, schools, community groups and faith organisations. We have been successfully organising many small and large-scale Noah's Pudding events across the UK for almost a decade. For more information, please click here.
