Marylebone Service: Earnest Cultivation Yields Fruitful Harvest

The Dialogue Society was invited to participate in Westminster’s Interfaith Service held on Monday 23rd November. The service which was organised by the Marylebone Association and hosted this year by the London Fo Guang Shan Temple was attended by over 200 guests. Councillor Dr Harvey Marshall welcomed guests and introduced the programme. Ilknur Kahraman, Co-Director of the Dialogue Society, was one of the keynote speakers for the evening.

Her speech focused on the all inclusive teachings of Mawlana Jalaluddin Rumi, a 13th Century Anatolian Sufi master whose teachings revolve around love, empathy and engagement. She concluded her words with a prayer for peace in London which was warmly welcomed by all. Mark Field MP for Westminster, congratulated llknur Kahraman for the work carried out by the Dialogue Society and expressed his willingness to work together on future projects.
