Dialogue School Session 6: Selected Dialogue Theories
With Frances Sleap and Omer Sener, the Dialogue Society
The students learned about the theories of three significant thinkers on dialogue: Jewish philosopher and theologian Martin Buber, physicist, philosopher and dialogue practitioner David Bohm, and social scientist Daniel Yankelovich. They engaged in discussion of the relevance of these three thinkers to their own work as dialogue practitioners.

Dialogue’s Apprentice
Students continued to liaise with their assigned community centres in organising their various dialogue projects.
Dialogue Society Event: Success School 2, with Rear Admiral Amjad Hussain
Students helped to prepare and run this well-attended event for young North Londoners and helped to make our guests welcome.

Wednesday
London Visits
The students visited three of London’s range of excellent museums: the British Museum, the Natural History Museum, and the Science Museum. A number of them went together to see the England-Holland Match at Wembley Stadium, sampling a different aspect of London’s multifaceted cultural world.
External Event: ‘Creating a Common Future Together: Towards a Visionary Europe’
Some of the students attended this seminar hosted by Contemporary Turkish Studies at the London School of Economics. The main speaker was Mr. Egemen Bağış, Turkish Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator. The event was chaired by Professor Sevket Pamuk.
