The 4th Annual Gateshead Community Dialogue Christmas Event was a significant gathering that demonstrated the strength of community partnership, civic engagement, and shared values across Gateshead and Newcastle.
Held under the theme “Voices in Unity,” the event brought together volunteers, supporters, community leaders, and residents to celebrate dialogue, collaboration, and positive social impact. The programme featured keynote contributions from Deputy Mayor Cllr Freeda, MP Mark Ferguson, and Talha, who each highlighted the importance of inclusive community initiatives and grassroots leadership.
A key highlight of the event was the presentation by Vijay Kritzinger, who introduced the selected Project of the Year: Animal Asia North East UK Support Group. The presentation showcased the project’s meaningful impact, its commitment to ethical advocacy, and the power of community-led action in creating positive change beyond local boundaries.
The event also featured reflections from Blessing, whose work continues to inspire community engagement, and a vibrant live performance by Rapasa, adding a cultural dimension that enriched the celebration.
The success of the evening reflected the collective efforts of volunteers, partners, and community members whose dedication made the event possible. The Annual Gateshead Community Dialogue Christmas Event continues to serve as a platform for recognising impact, amplifying community voices, and strengthening connections across the region.
The Dialogue Society looks forward to building on this momentum and welcoming the community again next year for another impactful celebration of unity and shared purpose.
