Dialogue Society Manchester was delighted to take part in “Around the World in a Day” at Fairfield General Hospital, a vibrant celebration of the cultural diversity that enriches the NHS and our wider communities.
Under the theme “Unity in Diversity,” Dialogue Society invited staff and visitors to experience the traditional art of Ebru (Water Marbling). Each unique pattern created on the water became a simple but powerful reflection of the day’s message: our differences make each of us distinctive, while creativity and shared experiences can bring us together.
Music added another dimension to the celebration, with our volunteer Dr Hakan Sakar bringing people together through a lively performance that encouraged participants to sing, engage and enjoy the moment together.
Through art, music and meaningful interaction, the event created opportunities to step beyond cultural boundaries, support staff wellbeing and strengthen a sense of belonging across the hospital community.
