Around 90 people from diverse backgrounds came together at Queen’s Park for Dialogue Society Bolton Branch’s Annual Community Picnic, organised in partnership with Great Lever Connected, Bolton Interfaith Council, and Bolton CVS.
The event provided a welcoming space for families, friends, and neighbours to enjoy a peaceful summer afternoon while celebrating community cohesion, friendship, and unity. Guests were treated to an impressive variety of delicious refreshments, with a wide selection of homemade dishes, snacks, desserts, and drinks that reflected the rich cultural diversity of the local community.
A lively programme of activities ensured there was something for everyone. Children enjoyed a range of fun games and outdoor activities, while adults took part in sports, friendly competitions, and team challenges. Throughout the afternoon, live music, warm conversations, and shared laughter created an atmosphere of inclusion and togetherness, highlighting the strength of Bolton’s diverse community.
The picnic also offered an excellent opportunity for local organisations and residents to strengthen relationships, encourage intercultural dialogue, and build new connections across different communities.
