Medway is the next big news story in Kent. Medway is bidding to become Britain’s newest city when the Queen announces the results of a city competition in early 2012. With an impressive regeneration story, four universities and thriving business environment coupled with a great heritage Medway is living up to its name as the place of ‘Rich Heritage – Great Future’. Come and hear from Robin Cooper how Medway is changing and how you can be part of the future.

Summary

This seminar gave local people a chance to learn more about regeneration in Medway, which is now bidding to become Britain’s newest city in 2012. Robin Cooper, Director of Regeneration, Community and Culture for Medway Council, told the story of Medway’s regeneration to date and explained how it is continuing to develop. Seminar participants included students from Greenwich, Canterbury Christchurch and Kent Universities as well as local community representatives. Participants made full use of the opportunity to ask questions about current and future investment opportunities in Medway.
