The Cardiff Branch hosted a Christmas Community Dinner themed around building community trust and strengthening social cohesion. The event brought together participants from a wide range of cultural and social backgrounds, creating a warm and inclusive space for shared food, open conversation and meaningful interaction.
The evening was honoured by the attendance of the Lord Lieutenant of South Glamorgan, Morfudd Meredith, whose presence highlighted the importance of community-led initiatives. The programme was expertly chaired by our friend Kate McColgan, Chair of the Interfaith Council for Wales, who served as MC and guided the evening with insight and warmth.
Guests took part in a lively pass-the-gift activity, encouraging engagement and connection, while a harp performance by a talented young musician added a special cultural and artistic dimension to the gathering. Overall, the dinner successfully fostered dialogue, trust and a renewed sense of community spirit among all those who attended.
