On February 21, 2026, Dialogue Society Sutton Branch held an iftar dinner in Sutton, which brought together partners, public representatives and local residents under the theme of Building Community Trust. The evening created a welcoming space for meaningful dialogue, shared reflection and strengthened relationships across our borough.

Delivered in partnership with Trinity Church Sutton and Sutton Amnesty International, the event welcomed Bobby Dean MP, Councillor Barry Lewis and fellow local councillors. Their presence reinforced the importance of collaborative leadership in nurturing cohesion and mutual respect.

Through the simple yet powerful act of sharing a meal, participants engaged in constructive conversations, deepened understanding and reaffirmed a shared commitment to unity. The dinner demonstrated how inclusive dialogue can strengthen trust between communities, faith groups and civic leaders, laying foundations for continued cooperation and positive local engagement.
