Dialogue Society Liverpool was delighted to participate in the Southport Interfaith Group meeting hosted at Southport Hebrew Congregation. As a committed member of this valued interfaith network, we were pleased to come together with representatives from diverse faith communities to strengthen friendship, foster mutual understanding, and encourage meaningful dialogue.
A special highlight of the meeting was a presentation by a guest speaker from Let’s Be Blunt, who delivered an insightful session on knife crime awareness and prevention. The presentation explored the impact of knife crime on communities and emphasised the importance of education, early intervention, and partnership working to help keep young people safe.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for members to discuss future collaborative initiatives. The Southport Interfaith Group is committed to strengthening its connection with the wider community by developing new projects that promote inclusion, encourage greater community engagement, and help prevent faith-related hate crime. Through continued cooperation and shared action, the group aims to contribute to a safer, more cohesive, and resilient Southport where people of all faiths and backgrounds can live together in mutual respect and understanding.
