As part of Interfaith Week 2022, volunteers from the Dialogue Society North East Branch organized a Noah`s Pudding Event in Gateshead to celebrate community, diversity, and shared values. The event was hosted at Whitehall Road Methodist Church, where volunteers warmly welcomed local community members.
Volunteers prepared and shared delicious and nutritious Noah’s Pudding (Ashura), a symbolic dish representing unity through its diverse ingredients. The gathering was filled with meaningful conversations, as attendees learned about the significance of Noah’s Pudding and reflected on the importance of diversity, inclusion, and mutual respect.
The programme also included a talk introducing the Dialogue Society and its community projects, offering participants an opportunity to engage, ask questions, and build connections. The event highlighted how shared traditions and open dialogue can bring people together, fostering understanding and strengthening community bonds.
Through this initiative, the spirit of Interfaith Week was truly embraced—celebrating differences while building a more connected and compassionate community.
