Cleveland Police Hartlepool HQ

The 2nd Cultural Awareness Day for Cleveland Police at Hartlepool Headquarters on 24 June, was a fantastic public event that brought together hundreds of people from across the community for a joyful and meaningful day of cultural celebration.

Open to everyone, the event welcomed community members, families, faith and non-faith groups, police officers, and local organisations, creating a vibrant space for connection, learning, and shared experiences. Visitors enjoyed a rich programme of art activities, live music, multicultural food, and interactive cultural experiences, making it a true family-friendly fun day.

Dialogue Society North East Branch delivered the event in collaboration with NEDES, Time To Help UK, and Human Rights Solidarity, whose partnership helped create an inclusive, accessible, and low-cost event designed to reach as many people as possible.

Cultural Awareness Day served as a powerful bridge-building initiative, strengthening relationships between the police and diverse communities, encouraging dialogue, and celebrating cultural diversity through creativity and shared enjoyment. The wide engagement demonstrated how culture, art, and food can bring people together in a positive and welcoming environment.

Open Call

Following the success of this event, we are inviting schools, councils, and large organisations who are looking to host an affordable, inclusive, and engaging family fun day focused on discovering new cultures through art, music, and food.
