The Dialogue Society Birmingham’s Dialogue Iftar, hosted by Toby Crowe, the church minister at Christ Church Sparkbrook, marked a significant occasion on the 16th of March 2024, as part of Ramadan celebrations. This event, a partnership effort, saw residents mingling with notable figures such as Councillor Shabrana Hussain, Toby Crowe, and Imam Shahed Tameez from Zia-ul-Ummah Centre, fostering an environment of communal harmony and understanding.

The evening was punctuated with vibrant performances by a youth platform band, insightful speeches on Peace and Unity from distinguished guests, and an exquisite ebru marble art show by Melek Koca. Attendees also engaged in a fun filled Kahoot quiz based on Ramadan, further enhancing the spirit of community and shared learning. The core of the gathering was to underscore the importance of dialogue and understanding in achieving Peace and Unity among diverse community segments.

Special gratitude is extended to Toby Crowe for his generosity and hospitality in hosting the event at Christ Church Sparkbrook. The successful evening was made possible through the collective efforts of all partners and contributors. We encourage everyone to carry forward the spirit of this event in their daily lives, fostering a culture of dialogue and unity within our communities.

This memorable gathering not only celebrated the holy month of Ramadan but also demonstrated the power of community collaboration in promoting peace and understanding.
