Rupert Matthews

Police Crime Commissioner, Leicester

Rupert Matthews was first elected as Police and Crime Commissioner for Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland in 2021 and was re-elected in 2024

Last night, we were honoured to host a beautiful evening in Leicester that brought our community together in the spirit of Ramadan. We were privileged to welcome:

  • Michael Kapur Esq OBE CStJ, His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Leicestershire
  • Rupert Matthews, Leicestershire Police and Crime Commissioner
  • Suleman Nagdi, MBE DL Deputy Lieutenant and former Justice of the Peace (Magistrate)
  • Amrick Singh, Mercedes-Benz Financial Services

Their reflections, alongside the warmth and presence of our guests, made the evening truly meaningful.

An evening of shared tables, sincere conversations, and renewed commitment to Building Community Trust.
