The Dialogue Society Leeds Branch was honoured to welcome Professor Adeeba Malik CBE DL, the newly appointed Lord-Lieutenant of West Yorkshire, accompanied by Deputy Lieutenants Kevin Sharp, Yvonne Stocks, and Dr Kuldip Bharj.
The visit provided a valuable opportunity to share the Society’s core values, ongoing projects, volunteer perspectives, and strategic vision for 2026. Volunteers and advisors engaged directly with the Lord-Lieutenant and her colleagues, offering insights into their experiences and the impact of Dialogue Society’s work.
The Society extends its congratulations and best wishes to Professor Malik in her new role. Hosting the Lord-Lieutenant on just her second day in office was particularly encouraging and enabled an open and constructive discussion on the challenges facing Dialogue Society and the wider voluntary sector.
