As we embrace the New Year, we reflect on the warmth and joy shared during our annual Christmas Dinners across Leicester. Each gathering brought its own special moments, stories, and symbols of unity.
Our Leicester dinner showcased a powerful visual message of unity as Mikey B. led us in a symbolic act: guests held colourful connected flags, each representing an individual contribution to the collective. “Hence we are all connected,” he concluded. Lady Godiva shared a moving reflection on the spirit of selflessness from the Godiva legend, while Inspector Yakub Ismail highlighted the police department’s ongoing community efforts and appreciation for our shared mission. Insightful praise came from Resham Sandhu MBE, former High Sheriff, who commended the Dialogue Society’s focus on youth, and from George Ballentyne of the Bahá’í community, who appreciated the structure and inclusivity of the event.
