Dialogue Society Liverpool Branch proudly took part in the Southport Walk of Unity, organised by the Southport Interfaith Group, bringing together faith leaders, political representatives, and members of the public to celebrate community cohesion and shared values. The walk demonstrated how faith can act as a bridge rather than a barrier, reinforcing the importance of dialogue and cooperation across communities.
Held on 16 November 2025, participants gathered at Southport & District Reform Synagogue before walking through Lord Street to Christ Church and Southport Mosque, symbolising unity, mutual respect, and peaceful coexistence. The event was joined by local and regional leaders, alongside families and community members from across Southport.
As part of the day, Dialogue Society prepared and shared special Noah’s Pudding with attendees, using the traditional dessert as a symbol of diversity and harmony. Made from many different ingredients, Noah’s Pudding reflected the message of the walk—how communities of varied backgrounds can come together while retaining their unique identities.
The walk was led by representatives from Christian, Jewish, and Muslim communities and supported by volunteers, reflecting strong collaboration across faiths. Dialogue Society, as a member of the Southport Interfaith Group, was honoured to stand alongside partners and participants in promoting understanding, peace, and neighbourly connection.
This event reflects Dialogue Society Liverpool Branch’s ongoing commitment to interfaith dialogue, bridge-building, and community cohesion, demonstrating the positive impact of shared action and symbolic traditions in strengthening social harmony.
