The Dialogue Society was pleased to take part in the Hate Crime Conference hosted by Northumbria Police and the Northumbria Police and Crime Commissioner at Newcastle City Council.
The conference brought together over 160 attendees representing 45 organisations for a full day of informative workshops, impactful keynote speeches, and valuable networking opportunities focused on addressing hate crime and strengthening community cohesion.
As part of the event, the Dialogue Society hosted an information stall showcasing its community engagement and dialogue-based projects. This provided an opportunity to connect with partner organisations, share best practice, and discuss collaborative approaches to promoting understanding, inclusion, and resilience within local communities.
The Dialogue Society extends its sincere thanks to Northumbria Police and the Police and Crime Commissioner, Susan Dungworth, for organising an inspiring and well-attended conference. Participation in events such as this reflects the Society’s ongoing commitment to tackling discrimination, encouraging dialogue, and contributing positively to safer and more cohesive communities across the region.
