We were honoured to host a Ramadan Iftar Dinner in partnership with the University of Reading, centred around the theme “Voices in Unity.”
The evening brought together members of the community for an evening of reflection, meaningful dialogue, and shared values. We were privileged to hear from a distinguished group of speakers, including,
- Prof. Parveen Yaqoob, Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University of Reading
- Cllr Adrian Mather, Mayor of Wokingham
- Cllr Jenny Penfold, Mayor of Bracknell Forest
- Nick Harbourne, CEO of the Refugee Support Group
- Kerim Balci, Human Rights Solidarity & Dialogue Society
- Fuat Anat, Chair of Fellowship Educational Society
Their powerful words on unity and community building deeply resonated with all in attendance.
The evening was further enriched by a heartfelt poetry reading and captivating performances from talented instrumentalists, making it an unforgettable experience. This gathering provided a wonderful opportunity to strengthen bonds and promote understanding among diverse community members. We are grateful to everyone who joined us and look forward to welcoming you all again next Ramadan.
