On 26 February, Dialogue Society Reading took part in the Eid Celebration held at the University of Reading, in collaboration with the university’s International Student team and Reading Students’ Union. The event brought together students, university staff, and members of the local community in a joyful and inclusive atmosphere.
Throughout the event, Dialogue Society Reading hosted a range of interactive cultural activities, including an ebru (marbling) workshop, henna art, and tote bag painting. These hands-on sessions offered participants the opportunity to engage with different cultural traditions while expressing their creativity in a relaxed and welcoming setting.
The celebration provided a valuable opportunity to meet new people, strengthen connections, and share the joy of Eid with a diverse community. The warm and friendly environment encouraged meaningful conversations, fostering mutual understanding and a sense of belonging among attendees.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to our partners and all participants who contributed to making this event such a memorable and enriching experience.
Reflecting on the spirit of Eid, we remain committed to promoting dialogue, inclusivity, and stronger community ties through future collaborations.
