Sheffield Branch Volunteers

During Ramadan 2026, the Sheffield branch of the IftarMe initiative hosted 14 home-based iftars, welcoming a total of 40 guests. These gatherings provided a meaningful platform for individuals from diverse backgrounds to come together, experience the tradition of breaking the fast, and engage in open, heartfelt conversations.

Through shared meals and personal interactions, participants gained a deeper understanding of different cultures while cultivating new friendships rooted in respect and empathy. Supported by the Dialogue Society, IftarMe in Sheffield demonstrated how simple acts of hospitality can bridge cultural divides and foster lasting community connections.
