In Interfaith Week 2023, Dialogue Society North East Branch paid a warm and meaningful visit to Gateshead Methodist Church, bringing together community members in a spirit of dialogue, respect, and shared understanding.
The visit reflected the core values of Interfaith Week by creating space for open conversation and neighbourly connection. One of our young volunteers delivered an inspiring speech on the meaning of Interfaith Week, the symbolism of Noah’s Pudding, and our ongoing community work across the North East, highlighting the role of young people in building a more inclusive society.
Noah’s Pudding was shared as a symbol of diversity and unity, celebrating how differences can come together to create something meaningful. The simple act of sharing food encouraged conversation and strengthened community bonds.
We extend our sincere thanks to Revd Brigitta Steele, Methodist Minister on the South West Tyne Circuit, for her warm hospitality, and to Gateshead Bridge Builders for their generous support. This visit reaffirmed our commitment to building bridges and fostering understanding across communities.
