Port of Sunderland - Capstan House

As part of Interfaith Week 2024, the Dialogue Society North East Branch was honoured to be hosted by the Port of Sunderland, where the team engaged with the Port community in a meaningful exchange centred on shared values.

During the visit, Noah’s Pudding was shared with the Port family, highlighting its powerful symbolism of love, unity, and togetherness. The dessert served as a metaphor for community — demonstrating how different ingredients, each retaining their own identity, come together to create something richer and stronger, much like a diverse and harmonious society.

The visit provided an opportunity for open conversation and reflection, strengthening relationships between community organisations and local institutions. The Dialogue Society extends its sincere thanks to Port Director Matthew Hunt for the warm welcome and thoughtful engagement, which helped make this visit both impactful and memorable.
