Dialogue Society Birmingham participated in an international interfaith conference in Frankfurt dedicated to exploring the contemporary relevance of Nostra Aetate. The gathering brought together scholars, faith leaders and dialogue practitioners committed to advancing mutual understanding and cooperation across religious traditions.
Bishop David from St Chad’s Cathedral, Birmingham, contributed to a thoughtful panel on “Meeting God in Friend and Stranger,” joined by Qaisra Shahraz, Executive Director of MACFEST, and the Dialogue Society Birmingham Branch Manager. Their discussion highlighted the importance of hospitality, shared humanity and meaningful encounter as foundations for interfaith engagement.
The event was further enriched by the presence of Cardinal John Olorunfemi Onaiyekan, whose participation underscored the significance of global interfaith collaboration. Dialogue Society Birmingham extends sincere appreciation to its partners at Forum für Interkulturellen Dialog for organising a purposeful and insightful conference that strengthened relationships, deepened reflection and fostered lasting friendships across diverse faith communities.
