Last Saturday, we organised an Iftar dinner for local guests in Richmond in collaboration with Richmond and Putney Unitarian Church. The evening was held under the theme Building Community Trust and brought together people from different backgrounds in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
We were honoured to hear from Cllr Fiona Sacks, Jeremy Rodell from Humanists UK, Imam Abdesamad Abdellaoui, and Minister Simon Ramsey, who all spoke about the importance of dialogue, coming together, and sharing food during the month of Ramadan. Guests were particularly inspired by Dialogue Society Executive Director Sadik Cinar’s speech on building community trust.
