The Life of a Chickpea is a seminar series that engages students’ creative imagination to inspire them to actively promote equality, diversity, and inclusion; the British values of democracy, the rule of law, and individual liberty; as well as an appreciation of different cultures, faiths, and beliefs — all explored through the unique and thought-provoking journey of “A Life as a Chickpea.”
This week, we delivered seven sessions for the entire Year 9 cohort, running Monday to Friday during RE lessons, and hosted around 20 guest speakers representing a wide range of faiths and backgrounds. It was a truly enriching and inspiring week for everyone involved.
