The Dialogue Society North East Branch recently delivered its Life of a Chickpea project at Forest View Primary School in South Shields, engaging students in a day of dialogue, learning, and community connection.
The event was supported by Head Teacher Emma, while volunteers contributed to the experience by preparing the traditional Noah’s Pudding, providing a tangible symbol of unity and respect. Bengisu Sevik, the young presenter who travelled from Birmingham, inspired students through storytelling and interactive discussions that highlighted themes of mutual respect, diversity, and coexistence.
The Dialogue Society expresses gratitude to the Forest View Primary School community, volunteers, and presenters for making the day a success. This workshop marks an important step in the Society’s aim to reach 10 primary and secondary schools across the North East, building bridges through dialogue, learning, and community spirit.
