On 30 January 2025, the Dialogue Society North East Branch delivered its award-winning Life of a Chickpea project at Wallsend St Peter’s Church of England Primary School. The event brought together students, speakers, volunteers, and families for a day focused on dialogue, shared values, and community engagement.
The workshop used storytelling and discussion to explore themes of mutual respect, understanding, and coexistence. Noah’s Pudding was introduced as a powerful symbol of unity, highlighting how diversity can exist without losing individual identity and reinforcing the importance of love and respect over division.
The Dialogue Society extends its sincere thanks to Ms Saima, Imam Abbas Hussain, and the dedicated volunteers whose contributions supported the success of the event. Appreciation is also extended to the Wallsend St Peter’s Primary School community for their warm welcome and cooperation.
The session demonstrated the impact of dialogue-based education in bringing communities together and encouraging young people to engage positively with shared values.
