The Dialogue Society Liverpool Branch hosted a festive Christmas Get Together centred on the theme Building Community Trust, bringing together community leaders, partners, and residents for an evening of unity, joy, and meaningful connection.
The event featured a vibrant programme including live violin performances, a magic show, marbling art activities, games, delicious food, and surprise prizes, creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for guests of all ages.
The theme of community trust resonated throughout the evening, highlighted by an inspiring speech from the Deputy Lord-Lieutenant of Merseyside, Dr Crispin Pailing MBE, who emphasised the importance of unity and collaboration across communities. Additional contributions were made by Police Inspector Ian Speed (Community Engagement), Michael Harbon from The Church of Jesus Christ, and Hannah Larn from the Rose Castle Foundation, each underscoring the value of partnership and dialogue in strengthening social cohesion.
This Christmas event had a tangible impact by fostering new connections, strengthening existing partnerships, and creating a safe and joyful space for open dialogue between faith groups, public services, and local communities. By bringing diverse voices together in a spirit of celebration, the event reinforced trust, encouraged mutual understanding, and demonstrated the power of community-led engagement in building a more connected and resilient Liverpool.
