The Dialogue Society Liverpool Branch, in collaboration with Spaces of Hope, proudly hosted the Liverpool Community Dialogue Iftar Dinner 2023, bringing together a wide range of community members, leaders, and organisations to celebrate the unifying spirit of Ramadan under the theme “Ramadan is Community.”

The event welcomed distinguished guests from public services, local government, faith communities, and the voluntary sector, including Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram, Chief Fire Officer Phil Garrigan (Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service), representatives from the UK ISAR Team, Chief Superintendent Zoe Thornton (Merseyside Police), Councillor Abdul Qadir, Councillor Nick Small, Cardinal Michael Fitzgerald OBE, as well as organisations such as Kuumba Imani Conversation Café, Refugee Kindness – North Wales, Al-Ghazali Centre, and many respected community leaders and residents from across Liverpool.

Guests shared a communal Iftar meal featuring traditional multicultural cuisine, accompanied by live music, a marbling art demonstration, and interactive activities that created a warm and inclusive atmosphere. The programme encouraged meaningful conversations, strengthened relationships, and celebrated the diversity that enriches Liverpool’s community life.
