Dialogue Society Liverpool Branch proudly participated in a Scriptural Reasoning (SR) session hosted by the Liverpool Interfaith Group at the historic Abdullah Quilliam Mosque, the first mosque established in the United Kingdom. This special gathering brought together representatives of the Abrahamic faiths to explore the theme of Creativity, fostering dialogue, understanding, and shared reflection among diverse voices.
During the session, participants engaged in meaningful discussion on how creativity is expressed within different faith traditions and its role in building bridges across communities. The conversation highlighted both shared values and unique perspectives, encouraging participants to reflect on their own spiritual and cultural practices while learning from others. The atmosphere was collaborative and thought-provoking, strengthening connections and reinforcing the importance of respectful interfaith dialogue.
Abdullah Quilliam Mosque, located in Liverpool, holds a significant place in British history as the UK’s first purpose-built mosque, established by Abdullah Quilliam in the late 19th century. It continues to serve as a centre for Islamic worship, education, and community engagement, while also providing a space for interfaith activities and dialogue, making it an ideal venue for fostering mutual understanding and collaboration.
Dialogue Society Liverpool Branch is honoured to be part of this ongoing initiative and remains committed to supporting interfaith engagement, dialogue, and learning, helping to build stronger, more connected communities in Liverpool and beyond.
