Another exciting milestone for the Dialogue Society North East Branch took place when Tugay Yalcin, Branch Coordinator, was hosted by the High Sheriff of Northumberland James Royds alongside Jeff Pettison, Director of Koast Radio.
During the radio conversation, Dialogue Society’s key community projects were highlighted, including Talking Bubble, Art and Cultural Projects, Dialogue Iftar, and Diversity Dinners. These initiatives and the Society’s mission of promoting dialogue and social cohesion were shared with an audience of over 10,000 listeners.
The High Sheriff also reflected on his experience of hosting Northumberland’s first community iftar dinner, emphasising the importance of inclusive events in bringing diverse communities together. The broadcast provided a valuable platform to amplify Dialogue Society’s work and strengthen community engagement across the region.
