Salaam Community Centre

The North East Branch successfully organised an Interfaith Breakfast at the Salaam Community Centre on 12 March 2024, bringing together people from diverse faith backgrounds for a morning of learning, dialogue, and shared fellowship.

The event provided an enriching platform for participants to explore differences while celebrating the diversity that strengthens our community. Attendees benefited from insightful presentations on Christianity, including discussions on the approaches and perspectives of different Christian denominations. These sessions encouraged thoughtful conversation, mutual understanding, and respectful engagement among all present.

A highlight of the gathering was the heart-warming communal breakfast, made possible by the dedication and generosity of our volunteers, whose efforts created a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for everyone.

As part of the programme, the Jamia Masjid Muslim Welfare Association kindly hosted participants for a guided mosque tour. This experience offered valuable insight into Islamic practices and traditions, further deepening interfaith understanding and appreciation.

The North East Branch extends its sincere gratitude to all volunteers, speakers, host organisations, and participants who contributed to the success of this meaningful event. Through initiatives like this Interfaith Breakfast, we continue to foster unity, mutual respect, and constructive dialogue—building stronger, more connected communities together.
