As part of Ramadan 2026, the IftarMe initiative in Manchester brought together 34 host families and 116 guests, creating a series of meaningful home-based encounters. Each gathering offered more than just a meal—it created a space where conversations flowed, experiences were exchanged, and new connections were formed across cultural and social boundaries.
These evenings reflected the essence of IftarMe: turning simple acts of hospitality into opportunities for genuine dialogue and understanding. Facilitated by the Dialogue Society, the project continues to highlight how opening one’s home can inspire trust, strengthen relationships, and nurture a deeper sense of community in an increasingly diverse society.
