On 13 November 2024, during Interfaith Week, Dialogue Society Liverpool Branch hosted a meaningful Scriptural Reasoning and Interfaith Dialogue session in partnership with Kuumba Imani and the Rose Castle Foundation. The event brought together people from different faith traditions and belief backgrounds, including those with no religious affiliation, creating an inclusive space for reflection, listening, and shared learning.

The session focused on the theme of Empathy, exploring how compassion, understanding, and care for others are expressed across different faith perspectives. Through Scriptural Reasoning, participants engaged with sacred texts and lived experiences, discovering both common ground and diverse approaches to empathy within their traditions.

A highlight of the gathering was the sharing of Noah’s Pudding, a traditional dessert rich in symbolic meaning. Made from many different ingredients, the pudding illustrated how diversity can come together to form something nourishing and harmonious, reinforcing the session’s message of empathy and coexistence.

This event demonstrated the power of dialogue in strengthening relationships and building trust. Dialogue Society Liverpool Branch remains committed to supporting interfaith platforms that encourage understanding, connection, and empathy across communities.
