Leeds Volunteers

During Ramadan 2026, the Leeds branch of the IftarMe initiative brought together 14 host families and 41 guests through a series of welcoming home iftars. These gatherings created meaningful opportunities for individuals from different backgrounds to connect, share experiences, and take part in the tradition of breaking the fast together.

Each gathering fostered an atmosphere of warmth and openness, encouraging cultural understanding and the formation of new friendships. Facilitated by the Dialogue Society, IftarMe in Leeds continues to highlight the power of hospitality in building bridges, strengthening community ties, and promoting social cohesion across diverse communities.
