Liverpool - Merseyside Volunteers

During Ramadan 2026, the IftarMe initiative made a meaningful impact in Liverpool, where 10 volunteer families hosted 38 individuals for iftar. These gatherings created welcoming spaces for people from different backgrounds to come together, share a meal, and engage in genuine conversation. Despite their intimate scale, the events played a significant role in fostering understanding, connection, and a sense of belonging within the local community.

IftarMe, supported by the Dialogue Society, continues to promote social cohesion by connecting individuals with Muslim households during Ramadan. Through the simple yet powerful act of sharing iftar, the project encourages dialogue, cultural exchange, and lasting relationships—demonstrating that even small gatherings can have a big impact on community unity.
